THERMX is the solution designed by FIC to recover energy from dirty wastewater of civil or industrial origin that would otherwise be lost.
It is an exchanger capable of working even with very dirty fluids thanks to the fact that it is self-cleaning: it is in fact made up of a system of rings made up of pillowplates, assembled concentrically and whose surfaces are cleaned by a brush system which is an integral part of the system and which rotates constantly and continuously.
The dirty wastewater with a residual energy charge flows between the rings, passing from one to the other through weirs while the colder clean fluid is pumped into the pillow-plate rings, to which the energy of the wastewater is transferred. The system is simple and functional: the brushes with their circular movement, in addition to keeping the exchange surface clean, and therefore ensuring constant system efficiency, also contribute to creating the conditions of necessary turbulence for the heat exchange to be effective. All this results in a high and constant heat exchange coefficient.
The need for maintenance is minimal thanks to particular construction solutions capable of guaranteeing robustness and reliability.
THERMX is entirely built in stainless steel and its range allows it to cover recovery needs up to 500 kW for a single exchanger, managing wastewater flow rates from a few m 3 /h and up to 100 m 3 /h.
THERMX can be used for direct recovery or inserted into a heat pump system.
