The TECNOTANK process tanks produced by FIC SpA are designed for the heat treatment of numerous fluids. All tanks are equipped with a PILLOW PLATE heat exchange jacket and/or bottom, and a stirring system sized according to the characteristics of the fluid to be treated.
TECNOTANKs can be made of AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel. Particular characteristics (for example special connections, hatches, drains, etc.) are evaluated from time to time with the customer. Capacities range from 150lt up to 15/20,000 litres. The geometry is normally cylindrical and vertical. FIC SpA can also produce tanks suitable for pressure operation, with the relevant PED 2014/68/EU certification.
Some examples of TECNOTANK are: cream tanks with anchor stirrer, yogurt tanks, chocolate holding tanks, brine tanks, honey tanks, wax tanks.
A particular range of TECNOTANKs is made up of melters: these are particular tanks equipped with a heated grid (with water) in the upper part of the internal tank, on which the product to be dissolved is positioned and which is initially in the solid phase. Thanks to the heat exchange, the product passes into the liquid phase and is collected at the bottom of the tank where a stirrer and the PILLOW PLATE heat exchange bottom keep it at temperature and therefore in liquid form: typical applications are for butter and chocolate and are used in the confectionery and ice cream industry.
Tecnotank is particularly suitable for:
