FIC PILLOW PLATE
Pillow Plates consist of two stainless steel sheets welded together in points and then continuously along the perimeter to close the circuit. The welding phase is followed by the inflation phase, in which one or both sheets are deformed depending on whether it is a simple or double molding, so as to create a passage section in which, during operation, the fluid or heating gas or refrigerant will flow.
The manufacturing technology can be carried out with two distinct technologies depending on the thickness, the surface finish and the design characteristics:
- with laser welding;
- with resistance welding.
Pillow Plate, thanks to its very high flexibility, can be used as a component for the manufacture of tanks in the beverage industry (wine, beer, fruit juices, soft drinks), milk coolers and tanks for ice cream, yogurt, cream, eggs.
In addition, Pillow Plates can be used for countless applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and refrigeration industries.
Pillow Plate by FIC S.p.A. can be used wherever heat exchange is needed as part of a process.
FIC is also able to build plates used as the interior of synthesis reactors that can be supplied individually or assembled in bundles.
